【摘要】:Theremovalofvolatilematerialssuchasgasolinedilutionfromusedengineoilsisespeciallyimportantifthemechanicalshearstabilityoroxidativestabilityoftheoilisbeingmonitoredbymeasuringakinematicviscositychangeintheoilafterithasbeenusedinagasolineengine.1.1Thistestmethodcoversastandardizedprocedureforremovingvolatilematerialssuchasgasolineandwaterfromusedengineoilspriortofurtheroilanalysis.1.2Italsoprovidesanestimateofsuchvolatilesinusedengineoils.1.3WhenanaccuratevalueofthegasolinecontaminantisrequiredeitherTestMethodsD322orD3525shallbeused.Note18212;TestMethodD322determinestheamountofgasolinebydistillationwithwater.TestMethodD3525determinestheamountofmaterialboilingbelowtheboilingpointofnx2013;tetradecanebygaschromatography.Note28212;Whentheamountofgasolineisrequiredtobeknown,theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedtodeterminewhichmethodistobeused.TherearecaseswhereD3525maybesetastherefereemethod.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarnings,see6.1and8.5.
