【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationestablishesperformancerequirements,testmethods,andlabelingrequirementstopromotethesafeuseofinfantbathseats.Productscommonlyreferredtoasbathringsalsoareincludedinthescopeofthisspecification.Traditionalinfantbathtubsthatareusedtobatheaninfantarenotwithinthescopeofthisstandard.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtoreducetheriskofdeathandminimizeinjurytoinfantsresultingfromuseandreasonablyforeseeableabuseofinfantbathseats.1.3Noinfantbathseatproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisconsumersafetyspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
