【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversperformancerequirementsforhelmetsmanufacturedforusebyrecreationalbicyclistsorrollerskaters.Thisspecificationrecognizesthedesirabilityoflightweightconstructionandventilation;however,itisaperformancestandardandisnotintendedtorestrictdesign.AlltestingandrequirementsofthisspecificationshallbeinaccordancewithTestMethodsF1446,exceptwherenotedherein.Partialutilizationofthisspecificationisprohibited.Anystatementofcompliancewiththisspecificationshallbeacertificationthattheproductmeetsalloftherequirementsofthespecificationinitsentirety.Aproductthatfailstomeetanyoneoftherequirementsofthisspecificationisconsideredtohavefailedthestandardandshouldnotbesoldwithanyindicationthatitmeetspartsofthestandard.
