【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversengineoilsforlight-dutyandheavy-dutyinternalcombustionenginesusedunderavarietyofoperatingconditionsinautomobiles,trucks,vans,buses,andoff-highwayfarm,industrial,andconstructionequipment.Thisspecificationisnotintendedtocoverengineoilapplicationssuchasoutboardmotors,snowmobiles,lawnmowers,motorcycles,railroadlocomotives,orocean-goingvessels.Thisspecificationisbasedonenginetestresultsthatgenerallyhavebeencorrelatedwithresultsobtainedonreferenceoilsinactualserviceenginesoperatingwithgasolineordieselfuel.AsitpertainstotheAPISLengineoilcategory,itisbasedonenginetestresultsthatgenerallyhavebeencorrelatedwithresultsobtainedonreferenceoilsruningasolineengineSequenceTeststhatdefinedengineoilcategoriespriorto2000.Itshouldberecognizedthatnotallaspectsofengineoilperformanceareevaluatedbytheenginetestsinthisspecification.Inaddition,whenassessingoilperformance,itisdesirablethattheoilbeevaluatedunderactualoperatingconditions.Thisspecificationincludesbenchandchemicalteststhathelpevaluatesomeaspectsofengineoilperformancenotcoveredbytheenginetestsinthisspecification.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.ThetestproceduresreferredtointhisspecificationthatarenotyetstandardsarelistedinTable1.
